Why the leadership shortfall? According to Deloitte Insights,
- Many organizations fail to invest enough in leadership training;
- Many companies limit leadership training to a select few employees;
- Many fail to realize that a robust leadership pipeline needs to be maintained at all levels.
Organizations will only begin to close the leadership gap with consistency and commitment. Leaders who inspire and innovate, who communicate their vision effectively, and who know how to listen and respond thoughtfully rather than react precipitously, are created through training and experience. People are not born as leaders, and without an investment in them, other investments won’t matter much.
